Preparing for Your Massage
-
Sarah will begin with a brief conversation about your goals, pressure preferences, areas of tension, health information, and any product sensitivities. You will have privacy to prepare for your massage, and Sarah will explain what to expect before the session begins.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to change in and out of. You will have privacy to prepare for your massage before the session begins.
-
No. You should undress only to your personal comfort level. You may leave on any clothing you prefer, and your massage will be adjusted accordingly.
-
Yes. Professional draping will be used throughout your session. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered, and all other areas will remain securely covered.
-
A light meal or snack is fine before your appointment, but it is best to avoid a large or heavy meal immediately beforehand. Allowing time to digest can help you feel more comfortable during your massage.
-
You do not need to bring anything special. Please be prepared to tell Sarah about any recent injuries, changes in your health, medications, allergies, product sensitivities, or areas of concern that may not already appear on your intake form. Everything needed for your massage will be provided.
-
Showering before your appointment is welcome but not required. After your massage, you may choose to wait before showering so the massage products can remain on your skin. If you have sensitive skin or prefer that little or no product be used, please let Sarah know before your session.
-
Drink water, move gently, and allow yourself time to rest when possible. Mild tenderness can occasionally occur after deeper or more focused work, but significant or lasting discomfort should be reported to your healthcare provider.
Health and Special Considerations
-
Please contact the studio as soon as possible if you have a fever, contagious illness, vomiting, unexplained rash, or other symptoms that could affect the safety of your massage. Sarah will help determine whether your appointment should be rescheduled. Illness-related changes remain subject to the Cancellation Policy and will be considered individually.
-
Sarah understands how important it is to feel confident about the products used on your skin. Still Hour Studio prioritizes thoughtfully selected, limited-ingredient products suitable for many clients with sensitive skin or fragrance concerns. Please include all known allergies and sensitivities on your intake form and discuss them with Sarah before your massage so product use can be adjusted or limited whenever possible.
-
Still Hour Studio accepts female clients who are at least 16 years old with the approval of a parent or legal guardian. A separate consent form must be completed before the appointment, and the parent or guardian must be present when the massage begins. The parent or guardian may remain in the massage room or, if comfortable with the minor receiving the massage alone with Sarah, wait in the Forest Park Collective lobby for the duration of the appointment.

Each experience is designed with a different goal in mind. A Quiet Hour uses gentle Swedish techniques for relaxation, Deep Release uses firmer pressure to address deeper tension, Motion Recovery supports active bodies with focused therapeutic work, and Stone & Stillness uses warm mineral salt stones to encourage deep relaxation and ease muscle tightness.
-
The Ritual is a 120-minute full-body massage experience combining customized therapeutic techniques with the soothing warmth of Himalayan salt stones. The extended session allows additional time for focused care, full-body relaxation, and an unhurried, deeply restorative experience.
-
A 60-minute session is ideal for general relaxation or focused attention on a few areas. A 75-minute session allows more time for a balanced full-body massage with additional focus where needed, while a 90-minute session provides the most time for detailed therapeutic work and a slower, more restorative pace.

-
Yes. Your session can include additional attention to areas such as the neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs, or feet.
