Still Hour Studio Privacy Policy
Effective Date:
Last Updated: 15 July 2026
Still Hour Studio respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information thoughtfully, responsibly, and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains what information Still Hour Studio may collect when you visit our website, schedule or receive services, complete a client intake form, make a payment, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the studio. It also explains how that information may be used, protected, retained, and shared, as well as the choices that may be available to you.
By using the Still Hour Studio website, submitting information through an online form, booking an appointment, or otherwise providing personal information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This policy applies to information collected through our website, online scheduling system, intake forms, electronic communications, payment transactions, and in-person business activities.
Information We Collect
Still Hour Studio may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you schedule an appointment, complete an intake or consent form, purchase a service or gift card, join a mailing list, respond to a survey, contact the studio, or receive massage services. This information may include your name, telephone number, email address, mailing address, date of birth, emergency contact information, appointment history, service preferences, communication preferences, transaction history, and information you include in messages or inquiries.
To provide massage services safely and appropriately, Still Hour Studio may also collect health-related and wellness information. This may include information about medical conditions, injuries, surgeries, medications, allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, pain, mobility concerns, skin conditions, treatment preferences, areas of discomfort, contraindications, and other information that may affect whether or how massage services should be provided. You are responsible for providing information that is complete and accurate and for notifying the studio of relevant changes before receiving services.
When you visit the Still Hour Studio website, certain technical information may be collected automatically. Depending on the website settings and services in use, this information may include your Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages visited, approximate geographic area, time spent on the website, interactions with website features, and other website activity information.
How We Collect Information
Still Hour Studio may collect information directly from you when you book or change an appointment, complete an intake form, sign a consent or acknowledgment, make a payment, purchase a gift card, communicate by telephone, text message, email, website form, or social media, provide feedback, or visit the studio.
Information may also be collected through third-party services that assist with website hosting, appointment scheduling, payments, communications, forms, analytics, bookkeeping, marketing, and business administration. For example, the Still Hour Studio website may be hosted through Squarespace, and appointments may be managed through Acuity Scheduling, which is part of the Squarespace suite of services. These providers may collect and process information on behalf of Still Hour Studio according to their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
How We Use Your Information
Still Hour Studio may use personal information to schedule, confirm, manage, reschedule, or cancel appointments; maintain client records; communicate about upcoming services; process payments and issue receipts; answer questions; respond to requests or concerns; provide gift cards, promotional offers, or account credits; and administer studio policies.
Health-related and treatment information may be used to determine whether massage is appropriate, identify possible contraindications, adapt the massage session, select suitable products or techniques, understand client preferences, document services provided, and support continuity of care between appointments. Massage services are not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment, and Still Hour Studio may request medical clearance or decline or modify a service when necessary for safety.
Still Hour Studio may also use information to operate and improve the website, understand how visitors interact with online content, maintain website security, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot technical issues, improve client service, evaluate business performance, maintain accounting and tax records, enforce studio policies, respond to legal requests, and comply with applicable professional, insurance, regulatory, and legal responsibilities.
Appointment Confirmations, Reminders, and Service Communications
When you schedule an appointment, Still Hour Studio may send transactional communications related to that appointment. These communications may include booking confirmations, intake-form requests, appointment reminders, payment notices, receipts, schedule changes, cancellation notices, follow-up instructions, and other information necessary to administer your appointment.
These service-related communications are different from promotional or marketing messages. Because they are connected to an appointment or transaction, you may continue to receive them even if you choose not to receive marketing communications. Message and data rates may apply to text messages depending on your mobile service plan.
You are responsible for ensuring that the telephone number and email address associated with your appointment are accurate and for protecting the privacy of messages delivered to those accounts or devices.
Marketing Communications
Still Hour Studio may send newsletters, studio announcements, educational content, promotions, special offers, or other marketing communications when you have requested them or otherwise provided appropriate permission. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the message. You may opt out of promotional text messages by following the instructions provided in the message or by contacting the studio.
Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent Still Hour Studio from sending appointment confirmations, reminders, receipts, policy notices, or other messages necessary to manage an existing appointment, transaction, or client relationship.
Still Hour Studio does not use information provided through health intake forms to create targeted advertising audiences or to advertise products or services based on a client’s medical condition.
Payment Information
Payments may be processed through an independent payment processor connected to Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, or another point-of-sale system used by Still Hour Studio. Depending on the payment service, you may be asked to provide a credit or debit card number, expiration date, security code, billing address, and other information required to process the transaction.
Still Hour Studio generally does not receive or store your complete payment-card number when a third-party payment processor handles the transaction. The payment processor may retain payment information or a secure payment token in accordance with its own privacy policy and security standards. Still Hour Studio may receive limited transaction information, such as your name, payment status, transaction amount, payment method, the last few digits of a payment card, and information needed to issue a receipt, process a permitted charge, administer a refund, or resolve a payment dispute.
When a card is placed on file for appointment security, cancellation fees, no-show fees, or future payments, the card information may be stored by the payment processor rather than directly by Still Hour Studio.
Health and Intake Information
Still Hour Studio treats health, intake, and treatment information as confidential business records and uses that information only for legitimate service, safety, administrative, insurance, or legal purposes. Access is limited to individuals who reasonably need the information to perform their duties or administer the business.
Still Hour Studio will not disclose a client’s health or treatment information to a family member, friend, employer, or other person merely because that person requests it. Information may be shared when the client provides authorization, when disclosure is reasonably necessary during an emergency, when required by law, when necessary to address a serious safety concern, or when needed to obtain professional legal, insurance, or business advice under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
The collection of health-related information does not necessarily mean that Still Hour Studio is a health care provider or covered entity subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, commonly called HIPAA. HIPAA applies only to organizations and providers that meet specific legal definitions and engage in covered activities. Regardless of whether HIPAA applies, Still Hour Studio is committed to handling client information with care and confidentiality.
Clients should not submit sensitive health or intake information through general website contact forms, ordinary email, social media messages, or public reviews. Health information should be provided through the designated intake or scheduling process or discussed directly with the massage therapist.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Still Hour Studio website may use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small data files stored on a visitor’s browser or device. They may help the website function properly, remember preferences, protect website security, support appointment scheduling, enable forms or payments, measure website performance, and help Still Hour Studio understand how visitors use the website.
Some cookies are necessary for essential website functions and may be placed automatically. Necessary cookies may support security, page navigation, scheduling features, form completion, payment processing, and other functions required for the website to operate.
With your permission, the website may also use optional analytics, performance, functional, marketing, or advertising cookies. Analytics and performance cookies may provide information about website traffic, popular pages, visitor interactions, and technical performance. Functional cookies may remember preferences or improve website features. Marketing or advertising cookies, when used, may help evaluate promotional campaigns or provide advertising based on website activity.
Visitors may be given the option to accept or decline nonessential cookies through a cookie banner or privacy-preference tool. Declining optional cookies should not prevent the use of basic website features, although some embedded content or optional functions may not operate as intended. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser settings vary, and disabling all cookies may interfere with appointment scheduling, payment, form, or website functions.
Still Hour Studio does not use cookies to read the health information entered into a client intake form for advertising purposes.
Website Analytics and Activity Data
Still Hour Studio may use website analytics or activity-reporting tools provided by Squarespace or another analytics provider to better understand website performance and visitor activity. These services may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device or browser information, referral source, and interactions with website content.
This information may be reported in an aggregated or generalized form and may help Still Hour Studio improve website organization, service information, scheduling access, marketing effectiveness, and the overall visitor experience. Analytics settings and available opt-out options may depend on the service provider and the choices you make through the website’s cookie banner.
Third-Party Services
Still Hour Studio relies on third-party providers to operate portions of its website and business. These providers may include Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, payment processors, email and text-message providers, form services, cloud-storage providers, analytics services, accounting providers, professional advisers, insurance providers, and other vendors that support studio operations.
Information may be shared with these providers only as reasonably necessary for them to perform the services requested by Still Hour Studio. Third-party providers have their own privacy policies, terms, data-retention practices, security measures, and legal responsibilities. Still Hour Studio does not control every aspect of how an independent third party handles information after it has been provided to that party.
The website may also contain links to external websites or services. Still Hour Studio is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or availability of websites operated by other organizations. You should review the privacy policy of any external service before providing it with personal information.
When Information May Be Shared
Still Hour Studio does not disclose personal information except as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise communicated to you. Information may be shared with technology, scheduling, payment, communication, storage, accounting, insurance, legal, or administrative providers when reasonably necessary to operate the business and provide services.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, subpoena, court order, regulatory inquiry, licensing requirement, tax obligation, or other lawful process. Still Hour Studio may disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, enforce an agreement or studio policy, collect an unpaid amount, protect the rights or property of the studio, respond to an emergency, prevent harm, or protect the health and safety of a client, therapist, staff member, or other person.
If Still Hour Studio is reorganized, sold, transferred, merged, or acquired, client and business records may be transferred to a successor or prospective successor as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
Sale of Personal Information and Targeted Advertising
Still Hour Studio does not sell personal information in exchange for money. Still Hour Studio also does not knowingly sell or share client health intake information for targeted advertising.
Certain privacy laws may define the terms “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an ordinary exchange of information for money. For example, some advertising or analytics technologies may be treated as a sale or use for targeted advertising under certain state laws. If Still Hour Studio begins using technology that is subject to these requirements, applicable privacy notices and opt-out choices will be provided.
Data Security
Still Hour Studio uses reasonable administrative, physical, and technical measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include password protection, access controls, secure third-party systems, software updates, restricted access to client records, and appropriate physical storage practices.
However, no website, email account, wireless transmission, cloud service, electronic storage system, or paper-record system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Still Hour Studio cannot promise absolute security and is not responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Clients should avoid sending highly sensitive medical, financial, identification, or payment information through ordinary email, text message, website contact forms, or social media unless specifically instructed to do so through a designated secure process.
Data Retention
Still Hour Studio may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain treatment and appointment history, administer future bookings, comply with tax, accounting, insurance, professional, regulatory, or legal responsibilities, resolve disputes, enforce studio policies, and protect the studio’s legitimate business interests.
Different types of information may be retained for different lengths of time. For example, transaction and tax records may be retained for legally required accounting periods, while appointment and intake records may be maintained to support client safety, continuity of service, insurance requirements, or dispute resolution.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, Still Hour Studio may securely delete, destroy, de-identify, or anonymize it. A request to delete information may be limited when Still Hour Studio must retain the information for legal, tax, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, contractual, or recordkeeping purposes.
Your Privacy Choices
You may contact Still Hour Studio to request access to certain personal information, correct inaccurate contact information, update communication preferences, withdraw marketing consent, or ask questions about how your information is handled. You may also request deletion of personal information, although some information may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons.
Before responding to a privacy request, Still Hour Studio may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and confirm that the request relates to your information. Verification may include requesting information previously provided to the studio. Still Hour Studio will not provide private client information when it cannot reasonably verify the identity or authority of the person making the request.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Still Hour Studio, you may have additional rights relating to access, correction, deletion, portability, targeted advertising, profiling, or the sale of personal information. Still Hour Studio will respond to applicable requests in accordance with the laws that govern the business.
Colorado law provides qualifying consumers with certain rights concerning personal data when the Colorado Privacy Act applies to a business. These may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain certain personal data and to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling. Still Hour Studio will honor rights that legally apply to its operations.
To submit a privacy request, contact Still Hour Studio using the information listed at the end of this policy.
Global Privacy Control and Other Opt-Out Signals
Some browsers and browser extensions allow users to send a privacy preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control. When required by applicable law and technically supported by the services used on the website, Still Hour Studio will treat a recognized universal opt-out signal as a request to opt out of covered sales or targeted advertising associated with that browser or device.
Because these signals are typically browser- and device-specific, you may need to activate the preference separately on each browser or device you use.
Children’s Privacy
The Still Hour Studio website and services are intended primarily for adults. Still Hour Studio does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental or legal guardian involvement.
Appointments for clients under 18 may be subject to a separate minor-client policy, parental or guardian authorization, intake requirements, and conditions regarding the presence of a parent or guardian. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization should contact Still Hour Studio.
Social Media, Reviews, and Public Content
When you interact with Still Hour Studio on a social media platform, review website, or other public service, the information you submit may be visible to the public and handled according to that platform’s privacy practices. You should not include private medical, intake, payment, or treatment information in a public post or review.
Still Hour Studio may respond to public reviews in a limited manner but will not publicly confirm private treatment details or disclose confidential client information. Contacting the studio directly is the best way to address a private service or appointment concern.
Still Hour Studio will obtain permission before using a client’s identifiable photograph, testimonial, treatment story, or similar personal content for marketing when permission is legally or ethically appropriate.
Email and Text-Message Limitations
Email and text messages may not be fully secure, encrypted, private, or error-free. Messages may be viewed by anyone who has access to your email account, mobile device, notification screen, or telephone number. By providing an email address or mobile number, you acknowledge that ordinary scheduling and service-related communications may be sent through those methods.
Please notify Still Hour Studio if you prefer that certain information not be included in voicemail, email, or text messages. Still Hour Studio will make reasonable efforts to honor communication preferences but cannot guarantee the privacy of messages after they are transmitted to the contact information you provide.
Business Transfers
If Still Hour Studio changes ownership, merges with another business, sells all or part of its operations, or transfers client records to another qualified provider or successor, personal information may be included in the transfer. Reasonable steps will be taken to preserve confidentiality and provide notice when required by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Still Hour Studio may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in business practices, website features, technology providers, legal requirements, or services. The updated policy will be posted on the website with a revised effective or last-updated date.
Your continued use of the website or services after a revised policy is posted means that you acknowledge the updated policy. When legally required, Still Hour Studio will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a material change to previously collected information.
