Deep Release
Focused Deep Tissue Massage
When tension feels like it has taken up permanent residence in your body, gentle relaxation may not be enough.
Deep Release is focused deep-tissue bodywork designed for areas that feel tight, restricted, overworked, or persistently uncomfortable. Rather than treating every part of the body with equal intensity, this experience allows more time and attention to be devoted to the places that need it most.
The goal is not simply to apply the hardest pressure possible. Effective deep work is deliberate, controlled, and responsive to your body.
This experience is about precision
Deep Release may incorporate slower strokes, sustained pressure, compression, and focused muscle work to address deeper layers of tension.
Typical pressure ranges from medium-firm to deep, depending on the area being treated and your comfort level.
Deep pressure should feel purposeful—not punishing. Communication throughout the session helps ensure the work remains productive and manageable.
Areas that can receive focused attention
Depending on your needs, the session may concentrate on areas such as:
Neck and shoulders
Upper and lower back
Hips and glutes
Hamstrings and legs
Calves
Arms and forearms
Other areas of chronic muscular tension
Rather than attempting to deeply address every muscle in one appointment, your therapist may recommend prioritizing a few areas so they can receive meaningful attention.
Who should choose Deep Release?
This experience may be especially appealing if you regularly experience:
Persistent tightness. Areas that never seem to fully relax.
Desk-related tension. Especially through the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
Physically demanding work. Repetitive movements and long hours can create concentrated muscular tension.
A preference for firmer massage. Some clients simply feel more satisfied with intentional, deeper pressure.
What will it feel like afterward?
You may notice that tight areas feel more open, mobile, or relaxed after the session. Because the work can be more intensive than a traditional relaxation massage, some people also experience temporary tenderness in heavily worked areas.
Deep Release vs. A Quiet Hour
Choose A Quiet Hour if you primarily want soothing relaxation.
Choose Deep Release when you want the session built around specific areas of stubborn muscular tension and prefer more concentrated pressure.
